Version Control Crash Course - Subversion

Jeremy Kendall will be presenting a version control crash course at our February meeting. He'll be covering subversion, a longtime standard in version control. Come out and discover why version control is important, what tools are available, and then how to get started with subversion. You should leave the meetup with enough knowledge to implement subversion in your own development environment.
Pizza and soft drinks will be provided, so come hungry. Look forward to seeing you there.

Erin WilesI wouldn't consider myself the traditional attendee of a Memphis PHP group (I'm a project manager, not programmer). I come to learn more about the languages my programmers use and constantly talk about. I was not very familiar with subversion and the importance of version control until this meeting. Jeremy did an excellent job at giving the basics of what subversion is, and although I will admit that at some points I was lost in the technical aspects, I did walk away more knowledgeable on the subject and able to speak intelligently on the matter. Great Meetup overall!
